...Projects In 2001 Cork YMCA was invited to represent the Irish Movement on the EAY Field Support Group for Georgia. After four years active engagement we have seen the training of a new National Board and the establishment of three YMCAs in Tblisi, Kutaisi, Telavi and Batumi. |

| Also represented on this Field Group are the YMCAs of Armenia, Latvia, Germany and Sweden. Cork YMCA has been particularly active in developing a partnership with Kutaisi since both are second cities. There has been a wonderfully active and exciting start to the YMCA work in Kutaisi. To date Cork YMCA has hosted 3 EVS volunteers from Kutaisi . One of our programme participants from a few years back has also spent three months helping in a variety of YMCA settings there cementing relationships with Kutaisi and building new links with Telavi. As of Autumn 2008 the Field group officially cam to an end but our relationships with Kutaisi & Tblisi in particular carry on.
