PAKT (Parents and Kids Together) This programme emphasises the importance of the family and earlier youth work intervention - learning that happens between the ages of 6 & 11 is highly significant in shaping attitudes and behaviour in adolescence-. PAKT is based in a local community and includes parents as active participants both in activities and in the management of the project. It operates within an inclusive Christian ethos: projects are expected to incorporate Christian values of love, friendship and tolerance in the belief that such values benefit and enrich participants and their local community. ![]() There will be two after school learning activities for kids aged 6-10 and a personal development or learning activity for the parents of their choosing. There will also be organised family events from time to time. The pilot initiative will be run in ..... Cork YMCA aims to be the lead agent in this programme in the city and will be coordinating the training and support of trainer/ facilitators.
