Currently the group consists exclusively of young women. Most remain on the programme for a maximum of 2 years. 'Wot! is funded under the National Drugs Strategy Plan and is run the Mahon area on the eastern periphery of the city-a densely populated area with over 3,500 young people.

It is for young people aged 18-21 and aims to provide an alternative to them from the prevailing alcohol and illegal drug culture. The YMCA is one of several youth projects in this area aiming to work together to provide the youth of the area with a wide range of projects and services. Wot! to date has participated in two European Partnerships under the Socrates Programme of the EU.
